Reel Spirituality Conference at Fuller on April 2

Part of what I love about being a member of the Fuller community is the amazing opportunities to learn from sharp colleagues, students, and Fuller events. We at FYI want to let you know about Reel Spirituality, an upcoming daylong event that is geared for folks who want to go deeper in their understanding of the intersection among film, TV, and faith.
Reel Spirituality is a treasured tradition at Fuller, a chance for folks to interact with and learn from key leaders and thinkers in the entertainment industry. This year, the focus is “Death of the Critic,” and events will be held a month from today on April 2nd from 8-2:30.
Now that pretty much anyone can become a movie or TV reviewer thanks to the internet, what are the implications for leaders, teachers, kids, families, and churches? We invite you to join folks like Ralph Winter (producer of “The X Men” and a friend of Fuller), and film critics from USA Today, Daily Variety and Christianity Today for what is sure to be a lively and provocative daylong event. The cost is $65, and you can register and find out more at www.reelspirituality.org.
This is exactly the sort of event that represents who we want to be at Fuller: folks who study and hopefully shape culture.
