Nominate a Growing Young Hero this Season

One of the great joys of conducting research for Growing Young was meeting adults all around the country who love investing in young people. We heard story after story of ordinary people making a lifelong impact with teenagers and young adults. These stories continue to inspire us as we share the research with others.
Our team at FYI wants to honor those who give time and resources to young people week after week, because they are all around us, but often go unacknowledged. From the 80-something grandfather figure to the toddler-in-tow 30-something, you probably know an adult who gives and gives, rarely receiving—and certainly not expecting—something in return.
Let’s partner in gratitude and generosity
This holiday season, we want to partner with you to show gratitude to an amazing adult in your ministry. Join us in celebrating everyday Growing Young Heroes.
We’re giving you a chance to say “thank you” to someone in your church or community who is quietly caring for and shepherding young people. Think about parents, volunteers, mentors, teachers, coaches—anyone who is helping change the way the world sees young people in little or big ways.
Here’s how it works:
1) Complete our nomination form. You’ll be prompted to share a few details and stories about your nominee. Tell us why this person is amazing, and why you are grateful for their ministry.
2) Then our team goes to work! Every nominee will receive a signed Christmas card from the FYI team. Twenty nominees will receive an FYI “Change the way the world sees young people” t-shirt in the mail. And 10 nominees will be chosen to receive something extra special (that you help us pick out) as a gift from FYI. We also may ask you to help us deliver that gift!
Together, we can make the church the best place for young people to grow. Let’s say thanks to the people who are making it true every day all around us!
