Johari Window - what are our blind spots?

This week I have been thinking more about accountability. Because of the partnership between our Urban Youth Ministry Certificate and the De Vos Urban Leadership Initiative (DVULI), I had the chance to be in Orlando this week and experience some of the great DVULI training.
One of the DVULI core values is accountability. As part of their training, they talk about the Johari window, a diagram that helps us think about what parts of us are known by others, and even what parts of ourselves we ourselves are blind to.
As you look at the diagram below, ask yourself some questions:
-What are my blind spots? Who can I talk to about them?
-In what ways do I put up a facade? What motivates me to do that?
-How can I get space and time to help me plumb those areas of my life that are unknown to me and to others?
