Better Title Than "Family Ministry"
We had our first webinar for our 2011 Sticky Faith Learning Cohort on Wednesday. What a sharp group of 16 great leaders from 16 churches wanting to move forward on Sticky Faith.
One of the churches shared that they are looking to hire a “Faith at Home Pastor”. I asked why they went with that title instead of the more typical title of “Family Ministry Pastor”. His answer was that they wanted to show that faith can be lived at home when you’re single, and also use a title that might be more embracing for single-parent and other less traditional types of families.
I’ve never heard this as a job title but I LOVE it. It also sends the message that faith is something that can and should be lived at home.
I’ve already learned something important from this Cohort. Can’t wait for the next 11 months.
