Help Grandparents Get Wired

Thanks to Ypulse, I heard this week that dosomething.org has a new initiative: "Grandparents Gone Wired." This is awesome.

The idea is one we've shared before in seminars on building intergenerational relationships, taken to the next level:

  • Teenagers are tech gurus.
  • Older adults are not.
  • Help them be the experts and teach older adults how to communicate with their grandkids and friends across the miles.

Dosomething.org is adding the bonus of a scholarship contest for teenagers who share their story of how they educated grandparents on technology.

If your students or teenagers in your own family are wondering how to make holiday time with extended family a little more interesting this year, this could be a great tip site to pass along!
