My first idea for a blog post announcing today’s launch of stickyfaith.org was to play up the theme of “birth”.  I could talk about how this website has been something we’ve been working on for 9 months, and how at times it was painful but we were really excited.

But I’ve actually been pregnant three times, and so I know that it’s really not fair (or accurate) to compare the launch of a website to a birth.  So I won’t.

But I will say this:  it has been a lot of work and we are super excited!  As we get ready for our first two Sticky Faith books (one for parents, one for leaders) to be released in a month on September 16, we knew we needed an ongoing way for you to share your Sticky Faith insights, and for us to keep sharing research and ideas we’ve gleaned from parents and leaders like you.  Hence this website.

Some of my favorite features of stickyfaith.org are:

  • There’s a section for parents, as well as youth leaders.
  • You can access both our latest, as well as our most popular, free resources.
  • It’s easier than ever for you to share the resources that are most helpful to you with others through Twitter, Facebook, Google+ or Vimeo.
  • It communicates our dream that this not be about any one or two resources, but that it be a movement that dramatically changes kids nationwide.

We’d be honored and pleased as punch if you would take 60 seconds and cruise around our site.  Then please spread the word!  Here’s to working and dreaming together to see more Sticky Faith in kids!
