Great connection with parents

This week I’m teaching a 3 day intensive in Denver on Assessment.  As part of the class, we are actually assessing a ministry in Denver, visiting their youth group and meeting with their youth pastor and some volunteer leaders, parents, and kids.

The youth pastor shared a great idea for how to connect with parents that he tried after their last retreat.  He came back to the church an hour earlier than the rest of the group to meet with the parents of the kids who had attended the retreat.  He used that hour to share what God had done on that retreat and give parents some ideas on questions they could ask their kids to help them share about their spiritual journey.

LOVE that idea.  Simple, inexpensive, and a great way to connect with parents.
