Telling Our Stories

One of the ways we learn best at FYI is by listening to youth workers tell us their stories — stories about deeper ministry practices, stories about transformed kids, families, and communities.  This is core to our research, actually, to learn about best practices in the field by listening to folks like you.

Our new short-term missions curriculum book, Deep Justice Journeys, was developed out of a collaborative listening process — listening to youth workers share about engaging kids in service and justice, listening to two think tank gatherings of STM agency leaders and youth pastors side by side in dialog, and listening to folks who field-tested the first drafts of the curriculum.

But the journey isn’t over for us, or for the field.  We believe there are more stories to be heard about what God is doing through our collective justice journeys. We believe the conversation must continue, actually, if we’re all going to continue to learn and improve our practices.

That’s why we’ve created the Deep Justice Stories page.  Our hope is that this page will serve as a portal for youth workers like you to share stories through video, images, and words about what God is doing globally and locally through our youth ministries.

So go ahead, share your story today!!!
