ABCs of Identity

My friend and mentor Hal Hamilton has been leading a blog book discussion on Chap Clark’s book Disconnected.
A recent post perked my ears a bit, because Hal hit on an area I love exploring and talking about: identity. I asked for his permission to pass this one nugget on, because I think it’s gold. Hal reminds us to focus — for our sake and for kids’ — on these ABCs of identity:
• It is about our Adoption…not our Activity.
• It is about our (new) Birth….not our Behavior.
• It is about being His Creation….not about our Competence.
Amen to that.
