February 3, 2009
February. For many of us, this month is a time to wade into the Valentine’s Day spirit with our kids and help them discern how to navigate their own sexuality. For others of us, it’s a time to take stock on how we’re doing with our 2009 goals, especially those related to our personal rhythms and balance.
This E-Journal is geared to help you with both your teaching as well as your personal balance through research-based tools that you can start using immediately. In the midst of the buzz we’re hearing from youth workers eager to move into more intergenerational youth ministry, we’ve also included the final article from our 4-part series to give you a host of practical ideas from a respected church that’s likely a few steps ahead of you in your journey.
Finally, we’re still listening! We would be most grateful if you would take 30 seconds to give us input on how we can offer resources that would make the greatest difference in your ministry. Please click HERE to complete our short online reader’s survey right now.

Good Sex: A Whole-Person Approach to Teenage Sexuality and God (Free Parent Meeting Planning Excerpt!!)
Most of us are more than a little uncomfortable talking with parents of kids in our youth ministries about sex, especially when we’re talking about their own kids’ sexual behaviors. This free excerpt from the newly-updated Good Sex 2.0 curriculum will help you design a 90-minute meeting with parents to help promote great conversations about sex—both in your meeting and in their homes.

A Church in the Intergenerational HOV Lane: A Ministry Case Study
While we have heard from a lot of churches who are in the initial steps of merging onto the road of intergenerational ministry, some wonder, “What do we do after those first few miles?” How do we make intergenerational youth ministry not just an experiment but a long-term part of our DNA? David Fraze explores a case study interview with pastor and author Tod Bolsinger.
